Description

  • Lead, coach, hire, onboard, and develop the Loans and Distributions team.
  • Oversee participant loan and distribution processing, balancing workloads to meet 24–48-hour targets.
  • Monitor productivity, accuracy, turnaround times, and performance, and report results to leadership.
  • Review and approve complex transactions, including hardship withdrawals, QDROs, RMDs, and terminated-plan distributions.
  • Resolve escalated issues involving recordkeepers, clients, and participants.
  • Maintain relationships with recordkeepers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop procedures, checklists, controls, and workflow improvements to support compliance and efficiency.
  • Maintain data accuracy across PensionPro, FT William, recordkeeper platforms, and ERISApedia.
  • Track regulatory developments and update team procedures accordingly.
  • Provide hands-on processing and client or participant support during high-volume periods.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience processing retirement plan loans and distributions, including 2+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of qualified retirement plan documents and IRS and DOL regulations governing loans, distributions, and tax withholding.
  • Experience leading teams in high-volume processing environments with service-level and turnaround expectations.
  • Experience developing workflows, documented procedures, and quality-control processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service focus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate professionally while maintaining confidentiality and accountability.
  • Experience with Empower, Voya, John Hancock, Principal, or Transamerica is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PensionPro, FT William, and ERISApedia is preferred.

  • Base salary of $65,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
