Description

  • Provide technical guidance to customers’ developers on best practices for integrating with APIs and using platform functionality.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues, diagnose blockers, and escalate problems with context to engineering teams.
  • Collaborate directly with customers through Slack and other channels to resolve technical support requests.
  • Use internal observability tools to investigate, scope, and understand customer-facing issues.
  • Develop internal tools to automate customer workflows that are not yet available in the product.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation and a comprehensive knowledge base to improve support.
  • Provide feedback on recurring customer issues and advocate for product improvements and feature gaps.
  • Partner closely with engineering, customer success, solutions architecture, and growth teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience in a B2B customer-facing technical support organization or in engineering.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams and providing technical feedback on customer issues.
  • Ability to debug and triage bugs and escalations from customers.
  • Ability to communicate the product’s technical capabilities clearly to customers.
  • Experience writing scripts or internal tools using APIs, along with functional knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Customer empathy and the ability to solve challenging problems.
  • Experience as an early or founding member of a support team, including building processes from scratch (preferred).
  • Startup experience and familiarity with scaling a support team (preferred).
  • Programming experience in Typescript, Python, or Ruby (preferred).
  • Experience with modern enterprise software that is business critical (preferred).
  • Experience creating knowledge base articles and internal documentation (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Pylon, Zendesk, Front, or similar (preferred).
