Description

  • Lead and support a team of security analysts, investigators, and responders handling security threats and incidents.
  • Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise to the incident response team.
  • Manage hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation for team members.
  • Develop and maintain clear, consistent incident response procedures, runbooks, and strategies.
  • Strengthen KPIs, metrics, and reporting for response operations effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Security Analytics, Detection, and Security Engineering teams to gather requirements and improve response capabilities.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of casework and incident escalation.
  • Drive continuous improvements to security processes and operational capabilities.
  • Protect Stripe networks, systems, and data by responding to security events at scale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading Security Operations or Incident Response teams with hands-on technical management experience.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in Security.
  • Experience recruiting, growing, and leading technical teams, including performance management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting operational or incident-related information to leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of data analytics, network security, digital forensics, and incident response investigations.
  • Experience with Python and SQL, or familiarity with other programming languages.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, file systems, and memory on macOS, Linux, or Windows.
  • Strong understanding of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Broad knowledge across information security domains such as endpoint, email, network, identity management, cloud security, vulnerability management, incident response, and threat intelligence (preferred).
  • Experience with engineering, data processing, and analysis tools (preferred).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Chronicle, Tines, osquery, or Splunk (preferred).
