Description

  • Evaluate and build business cases for strategic partnerships that support product and engineering investment across verticals such as AI, platforms, and payment methods.
  • Manage strategic planning, negotiation, and development of new partnerships.
  • Lead structured deal management using milestones, KPIs, and partner alignment on mutual opportunities.
  • Work with product, operations, marketing, and sales to execute deals that support Stripe’s strategy.
  • Develop and deepen relationships with partners, including senior executives and leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market Partnerships, Product Marketing, and Operations to create scalable partnership strategies and processes.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that launch new products, support geographic expansion, increase user advocacy, and address policy needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of partnerships experience, including 2+ years of business development experience with financial institutions, fintech, payment methods, or similarly complex strategic partners.
  • 2+ years of experience defining and executing partnership strategies to build innovative product experiences.
  • 2+ years of experience negotiating commercial deals with top financial and technology institutions, including scaling such deals across multiple partners.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Ability to operate with strong agency, handle ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-moving environment with high autonomy and responsibility.
  • Technical acumen and the ability to understand Stripe’s product portfolio and strategy to define partner requirements and evaluate opportunities.
  • Interest in payments, economic infrastructure, and Stripe’s partners.
