Description

Plan and execute end-to-end integration engineering work, from architecture design through code implementation.
Run discovery sessions with users to understand goals, use cases, and integration complexity.
Explain Stripe’s product behavior and API architecture to customers and manage expectations on timelines and product changes.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for large users and partners, including issue resolution and escalation ownership.
Partner with Sales, Solution Architecture, and Implementation teams to support client engagement, customer wins, and revenue goals.
Work closely with Product and Engineering to surface enhancements and new feature ideas from customer feedback.
Provide deep technical support, debugging, proof-of-concept integrations, and user-specific test plans.
Lead hands-on implementations when needed and provide feedback on coding practices, CI/CD, and software architecture.
Review and optimize existing integrations to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Build tools, dashboards, queries, and custom reports to support business reviews and operational needs.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in a Software Engineering or Integration Engineering role.
Ability to write code in languages such as Go, Java, or C/C++ and quickly debug user code snippets.
Comfort with code-level debugging of both Stripe code and user code, using code as a problem-solving tool.
Strong generalist technical background, including proficiency in SQL and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Understanding of the payments domain and API security topics.
Ability to discuss technical concepts clearly from both a product and API architecture perspective.
User-first mindset with empathy and the ability to map business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
Confidence working with customers and leading strategic technical conversations.
Willingness to solve open-ended problems and mentor newer team members.
Collaborative, communicative, and consultative approach, with technical writing skills preferred.
