Description

  • Build a strong customer experience for internal and external teams using Stripe infrastructure.
  • Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with multiple customers and stakeholders across Stripe to deliver value.
  • Debug production issues across services and multiple layers of the stack.
  • Design, build, test, and ship code across technologies, systems, and processes.
  • Contribute to infrastructure that supports reliability, availability, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Work on platform capabilities that help engineering teams ship services effectively.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering skills and a passion for one of the infrastructure areas.
  • Ability to write high-quality code in languages such as Go, Java, or C/C++.
  • 2-12+ years of professional hands-on software development experience.
  • Experience writing well-factored algorithms and working with common data structures and algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience contributing to or building large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across team workstreams.
  • Customer obsession and the ability to represent customer experience in decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Experience optimizing end-to-end performance of distributed systems (preferred).
  • Focus on the needs of internal and external users (preferred).
  • High standards for production work and reliability (preferred).
