Description

  • Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems, components, and subsystems.
  • Develop 3D models, CAD drawings, and prototypes for mechanical systems and assemblies.
  • Perform stress, thermal, and fluid flow analysis to validate design performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical components with other systems.
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions during design, testing, or production.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects from concept through prototyping, testing, and final production.
  • Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Track project progress, manage risks and changes, and coordinate execution across teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor mechanical engineers, designers, and technicians while providing technical direction.
  • Develop and maintain engineering specifications, project plans, progress reports, and other project documentation.
  • Lead design reviews and drive improvements based on feedback.
  • Develop and implement testing protocols and process improvements to ensure quality, performance, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and program management.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven experience managing mechanical systems or products through concept, design, testing, and production.
  • Strong background in mechanical design, CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and engineering analysis.
  • Excellent program management skills with experience managing schedules, budgets, and risks.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes including prototyping, CNC machining, injection molding, and assembly.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or similar are preferred.
  • Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, consumer products, or industrial machinery is preferred.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as FEA and CFD is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
