Description

  • Review phlebotomy course content for clinical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the NHA CPT exam.
  • Provide expert feedback on errors, gaps, outdated information, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Validate exam-preparation materials against the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam domains.
  • Collaborate with the academic team and content vendor to resolve questions and clarify standards.
  • Approve final course content before launch.
  • Hold 1 hour of virtual office hours per week after launch to support enrolled students.
  • Participate in course or marketing features such as a photo, bio, recorded segments, or testimonials, as mutually agreed.

Requirements

  • Active NHA CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certification is required.
  • 3–4 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting is required.
  • At least 2 years of active venipuncture and specimen collection experience within the past 5 years is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Clinical Laboratory Science, Health Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience across multiple clinical settings, such as a hospital, reference lab, blood donation center, or outpatient clinic, is preferred.
  • Experience with special collection procedures, including blood cultures, arterial draws, pediatric or geriatric collections, and point-of-care testing, is preferred.
  • Teaching, precepting, or curriculum development experience is preferred.
  • Ability to commit approximately 20–30 hours total during the 13-week course build phase is required.
  • Availability for 1 hour per week of virtual office hours after launch is required.
  • Resume/CV and a brief cover letter are required as part of the application, including certification, years of experience, educational background, and relevant experience.
