Description

  • Develop electronic warfare and radar concepts, signal processing and machine learning algorithms, and RF solutions for remote sensing challenges.
  • Provide technical leadership to small, multidisciplinary teams developing sensing, electronic warfare, and signal processing systems.
  • Lead the development, implementation, testing, and integration of novel signal processing and sensing systems.
  • Direct modeling and simulation activities for advanced RF systems to support algorithm development, test, and integration.
  • Plan and support algorithm test and evaluation in laboratory and field environments.
  • Assess system and algorithm performance during testing and evaluation activities.
  • Communicate technical results and program needs with customers, stakeholders, sponsors, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Create and present deep technical briefings and high-level briefings for customers and senior management.
  • Translate customer requirements into research focus and technical direction.

Requirements

  • Active security clearance and eligibility to support special access programs; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • PhD, MS, or BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8–10+ years of relevant experience, depending on degree level.
  • Strong scientific programming skills in MATLAB, Python, Simulink, and/or C/C++.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience designing, implementing, testing, and analyzing ML/AI algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of radar architectures, waveforms, modes, and RF signal chains.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into research priorities.
  • Ability to create and deliver technical briefings to customers and senior management.
  • Preferred: Current TS/SSBI with SCI and ability to obtain and maintain SCI/SAP accreditation.
  • Preferred: Experience with advanced RF system concepts, signal processing, open architectures, and systems integration.
  • Preferred: Software development experience.
  • Preferred: Ability to survey technical literature, incorporate recent research, and transition it into integrated, tested solutions.
  • Preferred: Experience working with decision-makers and customers to translate mission needs into an end-to-end analytical solution.
