Description

  • Map system-level radar requirements and algorithms to efficient FPGA architectures.
  • Design and implement radar signal processing algorithms in FPGAs, including pulse compression, FFT processing, CFAR detection, beamforming, and Doppler processing.
  • Develop high-throughput, low-latency processing architectures for real-time radar applications.
  • Implement waveform generation, digital down-conversion, and channelization in FPGA fabric.
  • Design and optimize pipelined arithmetic units and custom DSP blocks for radar processing.
  • Interface FPGAs with high-speed ADCs/DACs for radar RF front-end integration.
  • Validate designs using simulation and verification techniques before hardware integration.
  • Support the full development and integration lifecycle of FPGA firmware into hardware systems.
  • Create and maintain design documentation and test plans.
  • Deliver technical briefings and coordinate with program managers and technical leads on schedules and budgets.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and help build high-performing technical teams.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of applicable experience, Master’s degree with at least 5 years, or PhD with at least 2 years; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience with FPGA and SoC design entry using Verilog or VHDL.
  • Experience implementing digital signal processing techniques, filter design, FFT/DFT, and fixed-point optimization.
  • Experience with Xilinx and/or Intel FPGA design flows.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ModelSim/Questa, VCS, or Incisive.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, often under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated drive to take on new challenges, broaden technical skills, and increase responsibility.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is preferred.
  • Experience with Xilinx or Altera SoC platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with FPGA or ASIC RTL design entry is preferred.
  • Strong background in industry best practices and version control is preferred.
  • Experience with complex timing closure is preferred.
  • Experience with Matlab, Python, or C/C++ is preferred.
  • Experience interfacing with high-speed DACs and ADCs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pulse compression, Doppler processing, beamforming, and detection algorithms is preferred.
  • Previous experience with RFSoC or Analog Devices ADC/DAC is preferred.
  • Understanding of RF systems, especially radar or EW, is preferred.
