Description

  • Develop code that integrates mature hardware systems and advanced algorithms into working mission systems.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across STR to incorporate needed algorithms and capabilities.
  • Work with test leads to execute system testing across modeling and simulation and live test environments.
  • Use Live-Virtual-Constructive infrastructure to support integration and testing efforts.
  • Lead small teams to implement and test real-time applications using open architecture software principles.
  • Implement real-time systems in Modern C++ from verified algorithms written in higher-level languages such as MATLAB.
  • Support customer discussions to understand requirements and help shape product development.
  • Contribute to mission systems integration within demanding customer environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a PhD, 5 years with an MS, or 7 years with a BS.
  • Strong proficiency in modern C++ development, including multi-threaded applications.
  • Experience with test-driven development and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform development across Windows, Linux, and iOS.
  • Experience with version control workflows.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to excel under limited guidance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance preferred.
  • 5+ years of C++ programming experience with open architecture systems preferred.
  • Experience with safety-critical software architectures preferred.
  • Experience with real-time software development and algorithm optimization preferred.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and debugging preferred.
  • Familiarity with open standards such as OMS/UCI and A-GRA preferred.
  • Experience with software quality tools, including static/dynamic analysis and automated testing frameworks, preferred.
