Description

  • Own a clearly defined area of the Content Marketing Platform and be accountable for backlog quality, direction, and delivered outcomes.
  • Define outcome hypotheses and measurement methods before initiatives are committed to.
  • Maintain and prioritize a clear backlog with user stories focused on problems and desired outcomes rather than solutions.
  • Own instrumentation requirements for shipped features and ensure acceptance criteria include tracking and success measurement.
  • Lead squad ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Own direct customer relationships within the product area and conduct customer discovery with the Product Trio.
  • Bring evidence-based proposals grounded in customer insight and data, and frame feedback around root causes.
  • Track whether delivered features achieve the intended customer or business outcomes after release.
  • Make product decisions when engineering, UX, and stakeholders disagree, document the rationale, and own the result.
  • Own roadmap candidates, evaluate inbound requests from Customer Success and commercial teams, and shape viable initiatives for quarterly planning.
  • Keep Customer Success and Product Marketing informed about progress, upcoming releases, and what is not coming.
  • Own the handoff to Technical Writing so documentation is ready when features ship.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Management role within an Agile SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on experience with customer discovery, end-to-end backlog ownership, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Scrum and the ability to lead stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Ability to write clear, outcome-focused user stories and acceptance criteria that include measurement requirements.
  • Analytical thinking and comfort with data, including defining success metrics and interpreting usage data.
  • Familiarity with product analytics tooling is helpful.
  • Experience managing inbound requests from non-technical stakeholders and pushing back with evidence.
  • Experience working in or alongside engineering teams, with a clear understanding of Product Owner versus engineering responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills across writing, ceremonies, and customer conversations with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Background in marketing technology, content workflows, campaign management platforms, or Digital Asset Management is advantageous.
  • Comfortable using AI tools for research, synthesis, documentation, and analysis; demonstrable professional use is a plus.
