Description

  • Build and mature a consultative PMO model where project managers act as trusted advisors and proactively manage scope, risk, value realization, and outcomes.
  • Define PM role expectations, competencies, and career paths aligned to a consulting mindset.
  • Coach and develop project managers to succeed in complex, multi-workstream client engagements.
  • Design and lead a scalable PMO resource model that matches the right leadership level to each engagement and maximizes utilization.
  • Respond to client escalations and provide project management support on client-facing projects as needed.
  • Own PMO contribution to delivery financial performance, including utilization, margin protection, forecast accuracy, change management, and scope control.
  • Partner with practice and delivery leaders to optimize resource allocation, anticipate capacity needs, and manage delivery risks.
  • Define and enforce delivery standards, playbooks, and governance models that are rightsized and value-driven.
  • Lead the use of technology and AI to automate status reporting, forecasting, documentation, and delivery insights.
  • Drive process simplification, cross-team collaboration, retrospectives, and continuous improvement across projects and portfolios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting delivery, project/program management, or delivery operations.
  • Proven experience building or transforming a PMO within a consulting organization.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing utilization, margin, and delivery economics.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams through change and operational maturity.
  • Experience leveraging technology, automation, and/or AI to improve delivery efficiency.
  • Excellent executive communication, influence, and coaching skills.
  • Comfortable balancing strategy with execution and working in a consultative, outcome-oriented manner.
  • Data-driven, pragmatic, and improvement-focused approach.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not offered.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25-50% across the U.S. and Canada, including onsite visits to client, project, delivery, and company office locations.
