Description

  • Define and execute the apparel category growth strategy.
  • Own category performance across supply, engagement, and revenue, including quarterly goals and operating rhythms.
  • Track apparel culture, sellers, creators, designers, brands, retailers, trends, pricing, liquidity, and resale economics.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of apparel sellers, shops, designers, influencers, brands, and creators.
  • Recruit and onboard flagship sellers and develop strategies balancing credibility, storytelling, and commerce.
  • Identify and execute apparel-specific campaigns, cultural moments, and commerce formats.
  • Partner with marketing, account management, partnerships, product, and engineering teams to grow the category and shape relevant platform tools.
  • Document category frameworks and best practices, define standards for category ownership, and support future hiring and onboarding.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in category management, partnerships, marketplace growth, brand, or operator roles within apparel, streetwear, fashion, or adjacent markets.
  • Deep knowledge of second-hand fashion and apparel culture, including its people, platforms, trends, and economics.
  • Strong relationships and credibility with apparel sellers, creators, designers, brands, and community members.
  • Data literacy and commercial understanding of pricing, margins, liquidity, and incentives.
  • Ability to own outcomes, execute hands-on, iterate, and adapt.
  • Entrepreneurial and comfortable building a new initiative from the ground up.
  • Existing network of apparel resellers, brand operators, designers, boutiques, or creators preferred.
  • Experience buying and selling apparel or working with resale or fashion marketplaces preferred.
  • Familiarity with content-driven commerce, creator platforms, enthusiast communities, or product and engineering collaboration preferred.
  • Experience operating a business or startup preferred.
