Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inventory Planning team while fostering collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize team workload across in-season and pre-season planning deadlines to ensure accurate and on-time execution.
  • Participate in Operations leadership activities, including all-staff presentations, department meetings, and cultural initiatives.
  • Partner with the VP of Operations to develop, manage, and track Planning team OKRs aligned to company priorities.
  • Develop, communicate, and align seasonal inventory strategies throughout the GTM process, including OTB and revenue meetings.
  • Oversee pre-season item-level sales and inventory plans aligned with historical performance, merchandising strategies, and financial targets.
  • Provide category and channel planning direction on growth, margin, safety stock, and delivery targets.
  • Manage in-season pricing and markdown strategies to maximize sales, margin, and sell-through.
  • Oversee omni-channel inventory planning and coordinate cross-functionally on action plans for slow-moving inventory and target inventory levels.
  • Identify and lead process improvements, reporting enhancements, new tools, KPIs, and workflow implementations to optimize inventory planning performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, engineering, economics, operations management, or an equivalent field.
  • 8+ years of experience in inventory planning, including forecasting, purchasing, allocation, and inventory management.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience managing people and developing a high-performing team.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics such as sales, gross margin, return rate, months on hand, sell-through, and turn rate.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations and processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, charts, and logical functions such as SUMIF and VLOOKUP.
  • Experience with planning software is required; Toolio is preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity toward results and process improvement.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills for communicating complex material.
  • Experience in an omni-channel business across wholesale, ecommerce, full-price retail, and outlet retail; apparel experience preferred.
