Description

  • Lead technical discovery, solution design, and demos for new and expansion opportunities.
  • Uncover customer pain points and share insights with the broader account team.
  • Design and present enterprise solutions, including authentication, integrations, and AI/knowledge workflows.
  • Advise Account Executives and Strategic Account Managers throughout RFPs, security reviews, procurement, and executive presentations.
  • Partner with Professional Services on scoping and handoffs to ensure sold solutions are delivered as expected.
  • Coordinate with Forward Deployed Engineering to align pre-sales solution design with production implementation.
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience Strategists post-sale to identify underutilization, surface new use cases, and support renewals.
  • Build and share reusable demo environments, competitive intelligence, and enablement content.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for an assigned book of enterprise accounts across the customer lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a pre-sales technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Consulting supporting enterprise SaaS customers.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles from discovery through close at six- and seven-figure ACV.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns including SSO, SAML, OAuth, and SCIM.
  • Experience integrating with developer tools such as Slack, Teams, GitHub, Jira, or ServiceNow.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted developer workflows, including copilots, MCP servers, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and knowledge grounding.
  • Ability to build, improve, and demonstrate AI-enabled developer workflows in customer environments.
  • Understanding of technical KPIs such as cycle time, time to resolution, knowledge reuse, and onboarding velocity.
  • Comfort with API-based architectures, webhooks, and data ingestion pipelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting to executives and whiteboarding with platform engineers.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in a remote-first, high-autonomy environment.
  • Preferred: experience in developer tools, knowledge management, or collaboration platforms.
  • Preferred: background in technical writing, technical architecture diagrams, or documentation strategy.
  • Preferred: experience working cross-functionally with Professional Services, Value Engineering, and Customer Experience Strategist teams.
  • Preferred: practical exposure to LLM deployment, grounding strategies, or RAG in enterprise settings.
