Description

  • Partner with business and technical teams to establish and operationalize data governance practices.
  • Influence how data is defined, captured, and used across multiple lines of business.
  • Drive improvements in data quality, integrity, and consistency through root cause analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Define and maintain data definitions, metadata, and lineage to improve transparency and trust.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of data governance tools such as cataloging and data quality platforms.
  • Help shape AI-ready data practices so data is structured, complete, and suitable for advanced analytics.
  • Embed governance standards into day-to-day workflows across the organization.
  • Contribute to data privacy, compliance, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Establish visibility into data health through metrics, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Act as a key driver in building a culture where data is treated as a strategic asset.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a similar data-focused role.
  • Experience driving initiatives and influencing stakeholders across teams.
  • Experience supporting or implementing data governance frameworks and stewardship models.
  • Strong understanding of data cataloging, lineage, and data quality principles.
  • Experience with tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation is an asset.
  • Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or cloud ecosystems like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Exposure to data privacy and regulatory standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Experience supporting or preparing AI-ready data for analytics or machine learning use cases.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn ambiguity into structured solutions.
  • A proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
