Description

  • Schedule and perform on-site installation and preventive maintenance service work across the territory.
  • Perform emergency service and repair visits for instruments and equipment.
  • Provide remote telephone assistance to customers when needed.
  • Prioritize and complete service calls and related work within required timeframes.
  • Travel on short notice to support other Field Service Engineers and provide coverage in other U.S. regions.
  • Complete all required service documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate product quality issues to the appropriate internal contacts.
  • Work closely with Territory Sales personnel and Field Applications Specialists.
  • Manage customer accounts and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and communicate leads for post-instrument sales, upgrades, and consumables.

Requirements

  • Proven electro-mechanical troubleshooting ability.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical and automated systems, ideally in pharmaceutical or healthcare environments.
  • Experience with liquid handling products is advantageous.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent customer-facing communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while being a team player.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including approximately 50% overnight travel.
  • Ability to travel on short notice and cover extended periods in other U.S. territories when needed.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally for training.
  • Close proximity to a major airport is a plus.
