Description

  • Act as the customer voice between Sales, Solutions Architects, and Product Owner teams during the sales cycle.
  • Retrieve open commitments, customer questions, and solution design outputs and translate them into clearly defined epics.
  • Lead customer-facing solution design and BRD sessions to define scope before it becomes contractual.
  • Provide product-side responses to technical and product questions in RFPs and pursuits.
  • Coordinate Product Owners, Engineering Leads, UI/UX designers, and technical SMEs to produce cohesive solution outputs.
  • Author or co-author SOW solution language for enhancements and integrations.
  • Review proposals for product feasibility, roadmap alignment, and accuracy before submission.
  • Identify risks, misalignment, and systemic issues, and escalate them with recommended paths forward.
  • Hand off solution design documents and BRDs to delivery Product Owners with minimal rework.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Proposal, and Client teams to facilitate solution definition.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Solution Consultant, Technical Product Manager, Pre-Sales Engineer, or similar B2B role.
  • Direct experience producing Solution Design documents and BRDs.
  • Experience operating across both Product and Sales/Pre-Sales contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience leading solution design or discovery sessions with external clients.
  • Comfort orchestrating cross-functional work and engaging specialists as needed.
  • Strong estimation discipline, including understanding order-of-magnitude versus committed estimates.
  • Strong written communication for Solution Designs, BRDs, and SOW language.
  • Strong facilitation skills for mixed business, technical, and customer groups.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and identifying risks in a way that drives action.
  • Fluent in Jira and Confluence, with active use of modern AI tools in workflow.
  • Hands-on experience with utility CIS, utility billing, meter-to-cash, customer self-service portals, or mobile field tools is strongly preferred.
  • B2B SaaS experience contributing to RFPs and SOWs is strongly preferred.
  • Integration and API fluency, including authentication, error handling, payment processors, and third-party connectors, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working alongside enterprise sales cycles, including vendor selection and RFP/RFI responses, is strongly preferred.
