Description

  • Define technical strategy and system architecture for public sector deployments.
  • Serve as the senior technical representative in executive-level customer meetings.
  • Lead multiple end-to-end, multi-year projects from prototyping through operations and maintenance.
  • Architect and build backend systems, full-stack web applications, and mobile solutions.
  • Translate government requirements into standards-based solutions that work with modern and legacy systems.
  • Mentor and guide forward deployed engineers and delivery teams.
  • Set engineering standards and improve collaboration across projects and teams.
  • Identify efficiencies and share knowledge and tooling across teams.
  • Collaborate with platform teams to inform product roadmap decisions.
  • Contribute customer insights to global identity standards efforts.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering production-grade software in statically typed languages such as Rust, Go, Java, or C#.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale engineering efforts across multiple teams and organizations.
  • Strong expertise across infrastructure, DevOps, architecture, frontend, and mobile.
  • Experience working with public sector or highly regulated industries.
  • Direct customer engagement experience at both executive and technical levels.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and consulting skills.
  • Ability to influence strategy as well as execution.
  • Based in the United States and willing to travel as needed to support state government partners.
  • Preferred experience leading digital transformation or modernization efforts in the public sector.
  • Preferred familiarity with procurement, compliance, and governance in state government projects.
  • Preferred deep knowledge of digital identity, computer security, cryptography, and user data privacy practices.
  • Preferred experience as a Field CTO or in a similar role.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $200,000 to $225,000 per year.
  • Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses.
  • Additional compensation may include equity.
  • Benefits package included.
  • Fully remote within the United States.
