Description

  • Receive MacBook Neo shipments from suppliers and prepare each device for deployment.
  • Install standard software, apply MDM profiles, configure user accounts, and enforce security settings before shipment.
  • Inspect inbound units, log serial numbers, and maintain organized inventory records.
  • Track devices on hand, in transit, and deployed across campuses with accurate assignment and lifecycle history.
  • Pack, ship, and coordinate carrier pickups for laptops sent to schools, coaches, and staff across Texas.
  • Monitor shipments and resolve delivery issues as they arise.
  • Process returned, damaged, and end-of-life devices, including diagnosis, wiping, reimaging, and retirement.
  • Aim to process device returns within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for students with laptop issues and provide direct troubleshooting support.
  • Guide families through fixes by phone or email and escalate hardware repairs when needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience deploying and managing macOS devices at scale.
  • Experience with imaging, MDM configuration, and standardized deployment workflows.
  • Comfort with hands-on physical work, including receiving shipments, lifting boxes, organizing inventory, and preparing packages.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills for supporting students and parents during stressful situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistent, accurate record-keeping for inventory, shipments, and device assignments.
  • Must live in or around Austin and have a suitable workspace to receive and store shipments and prepare devices.
  • Comfort using AI tools daily to streamline communications, automate repetitive tasks, and improve troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Perplexity Computer is a plus.
  • Prior K-12 or 1:1 device program experience supporting 100 or more devices is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Apple Business Manager, Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle, or a comparable MDM platform in production is preferred.
  • Scripting or automation experience is preferred.
  • Logistics and shipping experience using platforms such as ShipStation or EasyPost is preferred.
