Description

  • Own the journey from raw data ingestion and dbt modelling on AWS to business insights, metrics, and AI use cases.
  • Design scalable, reliable data models for business users, AI systems, and analytics products.
  • Embed data quality through testing, documentation, lineage, and governance.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to ensure models are built on fresh, dependable pipeline data.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Finance to translate ambiguous questions into maintainable data products.
  • Use AI-assisted tools in daily work and prepare data for reliable use by agents and ML models.
  • Support financial reporting for Finion Capital alongside finance specialists.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a similar role, ideally focused on data warehousing.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt and a cloud data warehouse.
  • Understanding of dimensional modelling, slowly changing dimensions, and incremental data patterns, or the motivation to develop this expertise quickly.
  • Practical Python skills for data work.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools and the judgment to validate and improve their output.
  • Systematic debugging and root-cause problem-solving skills for complex data issues.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or above, written and spoken.
  • Curiosity and an ownership mindset for improving how data is modelled, trusted, and used.
  • Experience with financial, payments, or regulated reporting data (preferred).
  • German language skills (preferred).
