Description

  • Own major in-app features and work closely with the design team to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Shape the future of the Android team through technical contributions and leadership.
  • Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key product features.
  • Collaborate across Product, Design, and Engineering teams on product and feature decisions.
  • Review pull requests and support teammates through code review and collaboration.
  • Handle critical issues and respond to unexpected technical challenges.
  • Own feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Product design intuition and user empathy.
  • Drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of testing practices and how to write tests.
  • Self-drive to improve the app and codebase beyond the written spec.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • User-oriented problem-solving approach.
  • Continuous feedback mindset and ability to work well with leaders.
  • Bonus: experience building, maintaining, or contributing to Android open source projects.
  • Bonus: experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
