Description

Design, develop, and maintain robust public and internal APIs for TTS, payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking.
Oversee and optimize the backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
Build and maintain backend services that support business and scalability requirements.
Collaborate on B2B solutions, including customization and integration needs for enterprise clients.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
Contribute to new products and core platform capabilities across Speechify’s text-to-speech ecosystem.

Requirements

Proven experience in backend development with TypeScript/Node.js is required.
Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required.
Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers is required.
Ability to work efficiently from ideation through implementation while prioritizing by urgency and impact.
Experience with Docker and containerized deployments is preferred.
Experience deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flat organization are important.
Availability to complete a multi-step technical interview process within about 1 week.
