Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and reduce scope for faster customer feedback.
  • Navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality to improve loading speed and parsing intelligence.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs in Kotlin.
  • Help shape foundational services and APIs that support the product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is focused on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Strong systems thinking and an end-to-end approach to optimization.
  • Ability to work quickly and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time.
  • Comfort working in a busy, high-growth remote startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and PMs.
  • Ability to work with focus and know when to engage versus work heads down.
  • Experience designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems is preferred.
