Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing more efficient abstractions and improving algorithms.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to design clear, reliable APIs and simple systems.
  • Support foundational services and SDKs that power the product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience as a senior software engineer or in a similar senior-level engineering role.
  • Systems thinking with an end-to-end approach to system design and an appreciation for simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Ability to stay focused and work effectively in a busy, remote, high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Must include links to your portfolio and LinkedIn when applying.
