Description

  • Define and drive technical architecture for QualityOS, including system design, scalability patterns, integration strategies, and build-versus-platform tradeoffs.
  • Architect and implement complex distributed systems, including mission-critical services, APIs, and tooling for manufacturing quality workflows.
  • Establish engineering excellence through comprehensive testing, safe deployments, infrastructure as code, observability, and operational rigor.
  • Collaborate with Platform/Foundations to shape shared infrastructure and drive adoption of platform capabilities.
  • Partner with other MES product teams to integrate QualityOS into cohesive manufacturing experiences and align on cross-cutting technical concerns.
  • Represent the quality domain in architecture, security, operations, and infrastructure discussions.
  • Raise the technical bar through code review, architecture discussions, and shared ownership practices.
  • Identify systemic technical issues, eliminate single points of failure, and improve automation and tooling to unblock execution.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in a software engineering role building products in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams and drive architectural consensus.
  • Experience working with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements.
  • Strong full-stack experience with modern web technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and frameworks such as Next.js or Remix.
  • User-focused engineering mindset with the ability to translate user needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and build cross-team alignment.
  • U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
  • Familiarity with AWS, TypeScript, and React/Remix is particularly helpful.
  • Experience in hyper-growth, startup-like environments is preferred.
  • Manufacturing or quality domain knowledge, including QMS, MES, or incident management platforms, is preferred.
  • Experience in defense, autonomy, robotics, or mission-critical systems is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with AI/LLM integration and agentic tooling in production software is preferred.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
