Description

Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and deliver solutions through the cross-platform SDK.
Reduce project scope where possible to accelerate customer feedback.
Navigate integration and user experience tradeoffs across different product teams.
Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to optimize existing functionality.
Improve performance areas such as faster loading and more intelligent parsing.
Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
Help build and maintain the foundational services and SDKs behind Speechify’s product experience.
Work closely with designers, marketers, and product managers in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

Experience working as a Senior Software Engineer or in a similar backend/infrastructure role.
Strong systems thinking with an end-to-end approach to design and simplicity.
Ability to work quickly, generate options, and make pragmatic shipping decisions.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote startup environment with the ability to balance collaboration and heads-down work.
Strong collaboration skills with opinionated cross-functional partners such as designers, marketers, and PMs.
Kotlin Multiplatform experience is preferred; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is primarily Kotlin Multiplatform.
Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
Ability to apply strategic thinking at the intersection of product and infrastructure.
