Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and deliver solutions through the cross-platform SDK.
  • Reduce project scope where appropriate to get faster customer feedback.
  • Navigate integration and user experience tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that support Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Senior Software Engineer experience.
  • Systems thinking and an end-to-end approach to system design.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Ability to stay focused and work effectively in a busy, remote, high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred: Kotlin Multiplatform experience; Java experience is acceptable but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Preferred: Prior experience with GCP.
  • Ability to provide portfolio and LinkedIn links when applying.
