Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality to improve loading speed and parsing intelligence.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to enhance product performance.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to support core product experiences.
  • Design clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly improve the user experience.

Requirements

  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is focused on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Strong systems thinking with an end-to-end approach to optimization and a preference for simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time.
  • Comfort working in a busy, remote, high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Ability to focus independently and engage appropriately in a remote team setting.
