Description

  • Collaborate with developers on new 4G and 5G cellular features and create automated tests to verify functionality and performance.
  • Support integration and interoperability lab testing and field trials with OEMs and partners.
  • Analyze and optimize new cellular features to improve network performance and reliability.
  • Build tools and dashboards to provide insight into network performance.
  • Validate cellular radio access network (RAN) features across the Starlink Mobile and Direct to Cell network.
  • Develop integration and interoperability test cases for next-generation cellular devices.
  • Improve developer efficiency across the cellular protocol stack.
  • Monitor feature rollouts and analyze their performance across the network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM discipline; or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with 4G and/or 5G cellular network validation and performance optimization, or mobile device validation and certification.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience with scripting/coding in Python.
  • Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
  • Experience with configuration management, version control software, continuous integration, and agile development (preferred).
  • Experience with cellular network technologies (4G, 5G) and debugging tools such as Wireshark, QXDM, or XCAL (preferred).
  • Experience with device and interoperability certification testing and/or supporting new product introduction (NPI) (preferred).
  • Experience with test equipment including base station emulations, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes (preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements and be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorization.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $135,000 to $155,000 per year for Communications Integration Engineer/Level I.
  • Pay range of $155,000 to $185,000 per year for Communications Integration Engineer/Level II.
