Description

  • Oversee the daily management of the Hawthorne SPOC team and support facility and employee safety and security.
  • Handle administrative duties and attend meetings in the Security Manager’s absence.
  • Facilitate the work of SPOC Operators and ensure standards and requirements are consistently met.
  • Oversee security programs, projects, protocols, and policies as directed by the SPOC Manager.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate personnel, including performance reviews and training recommendations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of SPOC tools and serve as an administrator for them.
  • Analyze situations, make quick decisions, and develop action plans.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and collaborate with internal and external teams to implement solutions.
  • Adapt procedures and practices to maintain an appropriate security posture in a high-profile, fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Communicate security priorities and direction with senior management and organizational leaders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 6+ years of combined experience in security operations, security officer/military/law enforcement, or SPOC roles.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center.
  • 4+ years of experience in security officer, military, or law enforcement work.
  • 2+ years of experience in the SPOC.
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant professional experience, education, and training.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Familiarity with Department of Homeland Security C-FATS and NISPOM.
  • First Aid / CPR training or other public safety and emergency experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge of security system electronics.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to think clearly, solve problems, scope process requirements, and prioritize tasks.
  • Availability to work any schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and rotating shifts.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment enhanced screening, including background check, psychological test, bi-annual physical fitness test, and drug/alcohol testing.
  • Ability to wear 20-30 lbs of gear for a 12-hour shift and lift or carry 40-50 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in extreme outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, and rain.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Possess or be eligible for a valid state security officer license.
  • Ability to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for installation access.
  • Eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance and willingness to undergo ongoing testing requirements if active clearance is held.
  • Technical in-depth knowledge of all SPOC tools, including Everbridge, Dataminr, and Ontic, with willingness to administer them.
