Description

  • Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant data ingestion pipelines for high-volume real-time telemetry streams.
  • Develop frontend visualizations, interactive dashboards, and UI components for monitoring teams and stakeholders.
  • Drive automation to reduce manual network monitoring work and improve anomaly detection accuracy.
  • Maintain high software standards and engineering best practices across the full stack.
  • Analyze business problems, develop efficient solutions, and apply first-principles thinking.
  • Build software that enables real-time alerting and performance and reliability metrics for the Starlink network.
  • Support observability and operational insights across satellites, user terminals, gateways, and ground infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 1+ year of industry and/or internship experience, or 3+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a STEM degree.
  • Experience building or operating large-scale observability, telemetry, or real-time analytics systems (preferred).
  • Strong backend experience with Python, Go, Java, or similar languages (preferred).
  • Frontend experience with React, Angular, or a comparable JavaScript framework (preferred).
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB and/or distributed data systems (preferred).
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with streaming data platforms or high-volume data pipelines (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end and deliver reliable, high-quality software (preferred).
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis on a weeklong rotational schedule.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise authorized by the U.S. Department of State.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $125,000-$150,000 for Level I or $145,000-$175,000 for Level II, depending on experience and level.
