Description

  • Lead technical discovery conversations to validate customer requirements, use cases, and bill of materials.
  • Deliver technical sales presentations, product demos, and solution demonstrations to partners and customers.
  • Communicate SonicWall’s value proposition and competitive differentiation to external audiences.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with channel partners through recurring technical meetings.
  • Maintain a personal lab for common demo requests and ongoing product development.
  • Support remote partner product trials and act as the technical lead for proof of concepts with partners or customers.
  • Participate in beta testing and provide product feedback to the product management team.
  • Collaborate with support, product management, marketing, regional sales, and peers to preserve relationships and share insights.
  • Support technical marketing initiatives, including collateral creation and presentations at virtual or external events.
  • Develop deep expertise in multiple SonicWall product areas and serve as a regional subject matter expert.
  • Provide onboarding support for new solutions engineers and share best practices with peers.
  • Keep regional sales teams informed on roadmap updates, product changes, and technical best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a presales, solution engineering, or equivalent role.
  • Proven hands-on experience with cybersecurity products.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Previous experience in Pre-Sales, Support, or Professional Services at a vendor, channel, customer, or distribution organization.
  • Ability to work independently with limited instruction and strong judgment in complex situations.
  • Strong business and technical acumen, including solution selling, whiteboarding, objection handling, and time management.
  • Cyber Security CISSP certification required.
  • Microsoft Azure or AWS Associate certification preferred.
  • SNSA and SNSP SonicWall certifications preferred; training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and reporting requirements, including HIPAA, PCI, SOX, FERPA, CIPA, and GDPR.
  • Experience with L2-L7 networking technologies and protocols, NAT, stateful firewalls, IDS/IPS, web and content filtering, proxies, endpoint security, SSE/SASE, cloud security, email security gateways, VPN and encryption, PKI, WLAN, Syslog, NetFlow/IPFIX, Active Directory, LDAP, scripting, regular expressions, custom signatures, and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure.
  • Experience with Managed Security Services, XDR, or MDR is a plus.
