Description

  • Partner with account managers to support prospective customers through the sales process.
  • Take a consultative approach to assess current software development practices and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical recommendations to strengthen software supply chain and DevSecOps practices using Sonatype solutions.
  • Deliver software demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, and reference architectures.
  • Educate sales colleagues on relevant product knowledge and solution capabilities.
  • Assist with RFPs and RFIs alongside sales and technical teams.
  • Work with sales and technical stakeholders to help achieve sales quota.
  • Share customer product feedback with Sonatype product management.
  • Present at meetups and trade shows to build awareness and credibility.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and the broader community.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant pre-sales experience.
  • Familiarity with SDLC tooling, including VCS/SCMs such as git or svn.
  • Experience with modern build tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with package managers such as Maven, Gradle, NuGet, or NPM.
  • Experience with artifact repositories such as Nexus and continuous delivery technologies.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Preference for candidates based in the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Experience with Federal Government clients is preferred.
  • Fluency in an additional language would be beneficial.
