Description

  • Lead the development and testing of systems and services.
  • Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product.
  • Translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
  • Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment.
  • Mentor other engineers and help grow the team.
  • Support the technical culture and contribute to team development.
  • Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
  • Communicate with project leads, product managers, and other software developers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of programming experience, ideally on a modern stack.
  • 3+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with Java/Kotlin/Spring/AWS/PostgreSQL in a service-oriented architecture.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and ORMs.
  • Experience working on microservice-based applications.
  • Experience working with Git and CI/CD systems.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate closely with others and get work done.
  • Solid sense of ownership and the ability to drive projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience in a collaborative coding environment with design reviews, code reviews, and pull requests.
  • Unit and integration testing should be treated as first-class parts of software development.
  • Experience scaling highly available, mission-critical systems (preferred).
  • Full-stack experience with systems such as Kafka, Temporal, Docker, DynamoDB, JavaScript/TypeScript, or React (preferred).
  • Insurance industry experience and familiarity with regulatory requirements (preferred).
  • Experience incorporating LLMs into user flows (preferred).
