Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain software that helps developers interact with cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design intuitive, efficient, scalable, and reliable solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership for the Cloud Platform team on cloud cost, resource utilization, and performance optimization strategies.
  • Lead development of solutions that enable engineers to use networking, compute, and storage services in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
  • Identify and drive automation and process improvements to improve developer productivity.
  • Collaborate with cloud and software engineers to integrate solutions into cloud environments.
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay current on trends and technologies in cloud infrastructure and software engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms, including AWS and cloud-native technologies.
  • Strong programming fundamentals in Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with container orchestration and service meshes, especially Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, networking, and Istio.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools and practices, such as Terraform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking about cloud infrastructure and platform design.
  • Experience with generative AI coding agents such as Claude and Cursor.
  • Experience with cloud storage, compute resource management, and networking in AWS, preferred.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, preferred.
  • Experience with service discovery and load balancing solutions, preferred.
  • Experience with security and compliance in cloud environments, preferred.
