Description

  • Define the payment product strategy and sequence the roadmap across multiple payment capabilities.
  • Translate market needs and client requirements into a prioritized backlog.
  • Own the client-facing payment experience, including UX for initiating, approving, tracking, and reconciling payments across portal and API.
  • Design commercial payment workflows such as batch payments, multi-approver approvals, scheduled transfers, and beneficiary management.
  • Own the API product and developer experience, including API contracts, error handling, idempotency, versioning, sandboxing, and documentation.
  • Write PRDs and requirements for the Bank Platform team and define acceptance criteria for delivery.
  • Own user acceptance testing and ensure Big Business Banking requirements are prioritized alongside other internal consumers.
  • Define payment operations and exception handling for failed, returned, or manually reviewed payments, including operational workflows and tooling needs.
  • Partner with Risk and Compliance on transaction limits, sanctions screening, fraud rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Own go-to-market readiness for new payment capabilities and drive client adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in a technical, finance, or quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time in payments, commercial/B2B fintech, or financial infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of money movement across wires, ACH, real-time rails, and stablecoins, including commercial payment complexity.
  • Experience shipping APIs that external developers integrate against.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous client needs into clear, testable requirements.
  • Proven cross-functional partnership skills and experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience working in regulated environments and partnering with compliance, legal, and risk teams.
  • Technical credibility to read API specs, review sequence diagrams, discuss system design, and self-service data.
  • Strong communication, forward-leaning mindset, and AI fluency.
  • Experience at a bank, neobank, or banking-as-a-service provider, especially on the commercial or treasury side (preferred).
  • Familiarity with real-time payment rails such as FedNow and RTP and/or stablecoin settlement infrastructure (preferred).
  • Experience with developer-facing products at companies such as Stripe, Plaid, Marqeta, Unit, Treasury Prime, or Modern Treasury (preferred).
