Description

  • Define and own the strategic vision for SoFi’s newsletter program and evolve it based on performance insights.
  • Build a business case for the newsletter program and present it to senior stakeholders, including marketing leaders, product partners, and executives.
  • Develop and execute subscriber growth strategies across organic, paid media, paid social, lifecycle marketing, and content syndication.
  • Manage campaigns end to end, from creative asset production through performance analysis and recommendations.
  • Use audience insights and performance data to improve newsletter relevance and content strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the newsletter portfolio with new content products.
  • Identify and implement AI integration opportunities across content sourcing, creation, and distribution workflows.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with product marketing, editorial, brand strategy, social, data science, lifecycle marketing, product, design, and external vendors.
  • Oversee newsletter operations, including editorial planning, production, governance, compliance, executive review, and measurement.
  • Establish A/B testing and experimentation frameworks in partnership with lifecycle marketing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in content strategy, brand journalism, or content marketing.
  • Proven track record of subscriber growth and audience development.
  • Hands-on familiarity with paid media and paid social as distribution channels.
  • Data literacy, including defining KPIs, interpreting dashboards, and translating findings into strategic decisions.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in documents and presentations.
  • Entrepreneurial and adaptive mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • Experience with fintech, personal finance, investing, or another complex category where trust and credibility are critical (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience may be considered with demonstrated strategic leadership.
