Description

  • Lead 0–1 company-level initiatives from problem framing through shipped MVP and iteration.
  • Define and socialize design vision, north stars, decision principles, and measurable bets for one or more SIPS domains.
  • Architect scalable patterns and systems across web, iOS, and Android, including tokens, components, and journeys.
  • Champion accessibility, privacy/security by design, and compliant, member-first solutions.
  • Partner with Research and Data Science to validate decisions, de-risk work, and instrument for learning.
  • Use experimentation methods such as A/B tests, holdouts, and guardrails to improve outcomes.
  • Lead reviews, simplify complex flows, and deliver production-ready work with high craft and polish.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Support, and Marketing/Ops to align execution.
  • Mentor senior designers and raise team capability through critique, modeling, and stronger presentation standards.
  • Use AI-assisted design and research tools to accelerate exploration, prototyping, testing, and documentation while maintaining quality.

Requirements

  • Track record leading multi-team, multi-quarter initiatives and shipping at scale across mobile and web.
  • Mastery of information architecture, interaction design, and visual systems.
  • Strong product sense with the ability to frame problems, clarify trade-offs, and connect design craft to outcomes.
  • Comfort working in regulated domains and partnering with Compliance, Risk/Fraud, and Security.
  • Fluency with experimentation, analytics, and instrumentation to measure shipped work.
  • Exceptional storytelling and influence with executives and cross-functional leaders.
  • Strong collaboration skills in distributed teams.
  • Proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools.
  • Practical experience with AI-powered design and research tools such as Figma AI, Cursor, advanced prototyping, and content/UX writing assistants.
  • Preferred: fintech or personal finance experience, data visualization at scale, marketplace/e-commerce patterns, and systems thinking across platform surfaces and shared services.
