Description

  • Lead the design vision for Engine’s travel booking experience from search through stay.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3-6 product designers.
  • Set creative direction and maintain a high standard for clarity, craft, and consistency across travel surfaces.
  • Translate insights, trends, and product goals into intuitive user experiences.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and other stakeholders to shape strategy and ship high-impact work.
  • Champion design’s role in driving business outcomes and product strategy.
  • Use modern AI-native workflows and prototyping tools to increase design velocity.

Requirements

  • Experience owning the full product lifecycle, from product strategy and discovery through concept development and build-ready execution.
  • Strong design craft across visual design, interaction design, and UX, with an emphasis on clarity, utility, and delight.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder groups.
  • People leadership experience in hiring, coaching, and raising team standards.
  • Ability to align and influence product managers, engineers, data teams, and executives.
  • Fluency in Figma, design systems, and emerging tools such as Pencil and Cursor.
  • Clear storytelling and communication skills, including the ability to explain strategic rationale, not just design output.
  • Experience with AI-native workflows such as Cursor, Figma Make, MCPs, and prototyping systems is preferred.
