Description

Evaluate initial loan applications and supporting documentation to assess creditworthiness and repayment ability.
Complete initial credit and income analysis and communicate decisions to applicants.
Communicate origination timelines, product details, pricing, and underwriting requirements to applicants.
Make outbound calls and help applicants submit required documentation to move loans toward funding.
Communicate suspense, approval, and declination decisions so customers remain informed throughout the process.
Coordinate with realtors, builders, mobile signers, and other third parties involved in the transaction.
Oversee disclosures, re-disclosures, closing disclosures, and closing documents to ensure timely delivery and communication.
Manage and maintain a pipeline of leads from the centralized lead generation engine.
Work to maximize the number of qualified loans funded each month.
Continue improving sales and customer service techniques through ongoing training.

Requirements

Professional demeanor and strong work ethic with the ability to build relationships with applicants.
High performance orientation in a commission-based, high-expectation environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Industry-leading pipeline management skills.
Background or previous experience in financial services and sales in an inbound or outbound call center.
Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize activities.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with team members.
Computer literacy with above-average proficiency in MS Office and internet tools.
Strong telephone skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems, applications, and workflows.
Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet critical deadlines in stressful situations.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
2-4 years of successful loan origination experience preferred, with residential mortgage loan experience preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and/or regulatory requirements of mortgage lending preferred.
Good knowledge of mortgage products, pricing, and underwriting guidelines preferred.
Consultative sales skills in a mortgage sales organization preferred.
High-volume transaction processing experience with strong accuracy and attention to detail preferred.
Individual state mortgage licensing is a plus.
Ability to obtain and maintain individual state licenses and SAFE Act compliance.
