Description

  • Define and document SAM policies, processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Design a SAM process aligned with ITIL and CSDM for installed software, homegrown applications, and SaaS applications.
  • Manage ServiceNow SAM Pro in coordination with the ITAM administrator.
  • Prioritize SAM outcomes and contribute them to the ITAM roadmap and product strategy.
  • Execute day-to-day SAM operations, including inventory validation, software model creation, license reconciliation, entitlement management, and end-of-life tracking.
  • Manage usage data from Okta and SaaS connectors, and map software to business applications.
  • Oversee complex publisher licensing models, including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP, and Adobe.
  • Manage SaaS license lifecycle activities such as usage analytics, optimization, reclamation, and integration with identity providers and financial systems.
  • Lead software license audit defense and support vendor true-up negotiations with procurement and legal teams.
  • Build strong partnerships with cybersecurity, engineering, compliance, and business stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement through analytics and reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of specialized experience in IT Asset Management, with a strong focus on Software Asset Management and SaaS.
  • 3+ years of direct ownership experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Experience driving SAM Pro implementations and building a prioritized roadmap for module capabilities such as normalization, licensing, and metrics.
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of ITAM best practices, software lifecycle management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership ability with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset.
  • Analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with ServiceNow development or integrations with endpoint management, CI discovery, or access control tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
