Description

  • Independently manage a team of 15+ loan reviewers and allocate workload to meet SLAs and KPIs.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members in loan processing and member communication by phone and email.
  • Hire, train, motivate, monitor, and coach new Origination Specialist (Review) agents.
  • Serve as a second-tier contact for escalated customer issues and questions.
  • Handle special member circumstances and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Ensure the team follows procedures and compliance requirements while delivering a strong loan experience.
  • Performance-manage team members using scorecard metrics.
  • Foster accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Identify escalated issues and recommend solutions for process, systems, and operational inefficiencies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service experience at a financial institution.
  • Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to react quickly to change and implement new processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work habits.
  • Availability for all operating hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • Experience in loan processing, student loan originations, consumer credit, or consumer lending is highly preferred.
