Description

  • Run demos and scope proof-of-concepts alongside account executives from first technical call through closed-won.
  • Translate customer problems into Soda solutions and present Soda capabilities in customer-friendly language.
  • Build custom demos, sample pipelines, and proof-of-concept environments that demonstrate product value.
  • Own product, technical, and security responses for RFPs and RFIs.
  • Support customers through evaluation, purchasing, and implementation stages.
  • Act as the technical voice in conversations with Data Engineers, Heads of Data Platform, and Chief Data Officers.
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites, team offsites, and conferences.
  • Work across every stage of the sales cycle in a fast-moving startup environment.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree or higher in a technical field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
  • Fluency in Python, including the ability to read, write, and debug code independently.
  • Strong customer communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and calmly.
  • A builder mentality with a process-oriented approach and examples of improving or automating workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize ruthlessly, and handle broad ownership without dropping tasks.
  • A humble attitude, willingness to help others, and eagerness to learn what is needed to support the team and customers.
  • Based in the US.
  • Top university degree is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with AI or data products, including school projects, internships, or side projects, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data engineering, governance, quality, or observability concepts is preferred.
  • Experience at a B2B SaaS startup, including internships, is preferred.
  • Experience building or presenting custom demos is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools or platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, or Airflow is preferred.
  • Experience working remotely in a high-growth environment is preferred.

  • Base salary of $80,000-$100,000.
