Description

  • Collaborate with clients and account managers to assess clinical program goals and performance targets.
  • Provide clinical consultation and account management focused on client satisfaction, retention, and trend management.
  • Explain formulary and clinical program value propositions to clients in a clear and effective way.
  • Recommend and implement clinical programs that drive cost savings for clients and members.
  • Stay current on market trends and provide clinical market intelligence to clients.
  • Communicate drug information and respond to client-specific clinical inquiries.
  • Support account management during quarterly business reviews, including spend, trends, and benchmark updates.
  • Incorporate treatment and practice guidelines into client presentations, including up-selling opportunities.
  • Analyze data and interpret drug benefit designs, and communicate reporting needs to internal teams.
  • Serve as a trusted clinical advisor and provide support to internal account management and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and advanced degree in Pharmacy, with RPh or PharmD required.
  • Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in any state.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a licensed pharmacist.
  • 3+ years of experience with healthcare benefits, account management, pharmacy benefits, or commercial health insurance preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role with external clients required.
  • Executive-level communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver formal presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an empathic, consultative communication style.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented work ethic with a positive outlook.
  • Ability to take initiative with little to no direction.
