Description

  • Lead the implementation of efficient and scalable data transformation systems in Snowflake.
  • Design and maintain governed, reliable, and scalable analytics systems and data warehouse/data vault layers.
  • Collaborate with BI analysts and data scientists to define data accessibility guidelines.
  • Foster data democratization by activating data across platforms such as Smartsheet, Amplitude, Thoughtspot, and Gainsight.
  • Create frameworks that improve data quality and observability to detect and resolve issues faster.
  • Develop and implement data testing plans, including validation, quality checks, and regression testing.
  • Mentor team members and raise engineering standards through design reviews and ideation forums.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to assess data privacy needs and define data masking strategies.
  • Contribute to architectural principles, design standards, and engineering processes.
  • Support activation of data on customer-facing and internal analytics platforms.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in advanced data modeling using Data Vault (DV 2.0), dbt, and Snowflake.
  • Experience building analytics systems with data transformation, dependency, and workload management tools such as Data Vault, AutomateDV, dbt Core, Airflow, Snowflake, GitLab, and SQL.
  • Experience building and maintaining business analytics layers and semantic layers for self-service use by non-technical users.
  • Strong production experience supporting mission-critical analytics and data warehouse solutions.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and maintaining datasets as a single source of truth.
  • Familiarity with self-serve product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Thoughtspot, Tableau, and Gainsight.
  • Knowledge of code management and CI/CD practices using tools such as GitLab, Airflow, Snowflake, and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, EC2, and VPC.
  • Experience with data privacy and data masking practices aligned with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
  • Based in Bengaluru, India, for this full-time role.
