Description

  • Provide technical leadership to guide strategic customers through Databricks administration from design to deployment.
  • Architect production-level Databricks deployments that meet security and networking requirements.
  • Serve as a technical expert in areas such as cloud platforms, automation, security, networking, or identity management.
  • Support Solution Architects with advanced technical sales activities, including custom proof-of-concept content and custom architectures.
  • Deliver tutorials and training to improve community adoption through hackathons and conference presentations.
  • Contribute technical expertise and content to the Databricks Community.
  • Help customers align their technical roadmap to expand use of the Databricks Platform.
  • Maintain and extend customer Databricks environments as needs become more complex.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following: cloud platforms and architecture, security, networking, identity management, platform administration, or infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-native or serverless architectures in public cloud environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Terraform experience is desirable.
  • 2+ years of professional experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience in a pre-sales or post-sales role.
  • Ability to meet technical training and role-specific outcomes within 6 months of hire.
  • Remote work is possible, but candidates are preferred to be located in the job listing area and able to travel up to 30% as needed.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $264,000 to $363,000 USD for all listed pay zones.
  • Eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
  • Eligibility for equity.
