Description

  • Manage international payroll for EMEA and APAC to ensure timely processing and compliance.
  • Review payroll output, reconcile payroll data, and perform payroll analysis to validate accuracy.
  • Partner with external vendors and the internal accounting team on reimbursement, close activities, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain internal payroll controls and work with business partners to identify process gaps and improvements.
  • Direct payroll staff and vendors to deliver accurate and timely payroll outputs.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of international payroll policies, goals, and planning.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings with HR, IT, Accounting, Legal, Internal Audit, FP&A, and other teams to improve payroll processes and reduce errors.
  • Partner with People Operations on employee compensation, benefits, and other payments.
  • Partner with Treasury and Tax to ensure payroll funding and payments are processed on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant international payroll experience across EMEA and APAC, including UK, Germany, Bulgaria, Australia, Japan, India, and Singapore.
  • 2+ years of people manager or team lead experience.
  • Experience with international payroll systems; familiarity with Smartsheet and Workday Payroll is a plus.
  • Experience with Fidelity, CloudPay, OSV Atmosphere, or similar payroll and HR systems.
  • Experience with ADP Celergo and payroll vendor or system implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of international payroll regulations and reporting requirements, with multi-country payroll tax experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Experience with accounting, taxation, and finance concepts as they relate to payroll.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including V-lookups and Pivot Tables, and Google Sheets for Work.
  • Knowledge and mindset for automation and process improvements to support scalability.
  • Adaptability in a fast-changing environment and the ability to work well under stress and tight deadlines.
  • Direct, approachable, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Legally eligible to work in the UK on an ongoing basis.
  • Experience with transitioning from a public company to a private company and the impact on equity awards.
