Description

  • Own payroll compliance for a specific country or region and serve as the accountable subject-matter expert.
  • Interpret local legislation and translate statutory rules into scalable payroll processes, systems, and documentation.
  • Work with Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Legal to embed compliance into product requirements and workflows.
  • Review specifications, test logic, and validate product outputs for legislative accuracy.
  • Lead multi-country or high-risk audits from planning through remediation.
  • Establish audit frameworks, controls, SOPs, and monitoring mechanisms that scale across jurisdictions.
  • Lead compliance investigations and support incident resolution as the primary escalation point for the region.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective and preventative actions.
  • Build training materials, guidance, and documentation to upskill internal teams.
  • Deliver enablement sessions and coach Specialists and Leads to raise compliance capability across the organization.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for a country or region.
  • Strong understanding of how legislation translates into payroll calculations and system logic.
  • Proven experience leading audits, regulatory reviews, or country-level compliance programs.
  • Experience partnering with technical teams to convert statutory rules into product requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Legal, Support, and Senior Leadership.
  • Confidence handling investigations and high-risk or sensitive scenarios with sound judgment.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching teammates to build team capability.
  • Systems-thinking mindset with experience designing scalable frameworks, documentation, processes, and controls.
  • Comfort operating in an async, fast-changing, fully remote environment.
  • Location preference for applicants based in the United Kingdom or Ireland; start date as soon as possible.
